Show live prices and add-to-cart buttons in your cpywrk articles

Checked against the app on .

cpywrk Live Prices keeps the prices in your cpywrk articles in step with your store. In each article’s “Our picks at a glance” list, it also adds a button so readers can buy without hunting for the product. It is free, and it works only on blog articles written by cpywrk.

Install the app

Open the install link we sent you and click Install. The app asks for no access to your store’s data.

Turn on the app embed

After you install, Shopify opens your theme editor at App embeds. Switch on cpywrk Live Prices, then click Save.

To find it later: Online Store > Themes > Customize, then the App embeds icon in the left sidebar.

That is all you need. Open any cpywrk article on your store: prices show your current price, sale prices show the old price struck through, and products with several prices show “From” the lowest. Each product in the article’s “Our picks at a glance” list, and under each product’s own heading, also gets a button:

  • Add to cart for a product with one option that is in stock
  • Choose options for a product with sizes, colors or other options. It opens the product page.
  • Sold out when the product is out of stock. It cannot be clicked.

Optional: keep readers on the article when they add to cart

By default, Add to cart takes the reader to your cart page. If your theme has a cart drawer (a side panel that slides open), readers can stay on the article instead. In the theme editor, open Theme settings > Cart:

  • Horizon: set Type to Drawer, then tick “Add to cart” auto-opens drawer. Click Save.
  • Dawn and themes built on it: set Type to Drawer. Click Save.

Now Add to cart opens the cart drawer on top of the article and updates the cart count in your header. On other themes the button always goes to the cart page. The product is added either way.

Turning it off

Switch off cpywrk Live Prices in App embeds, or uninstall the app. Articles then return to the original price ranges they were written with, and the buttons are removed.
