What the six checks actually check

Every article passes six checks before it reaches you. Naming them is easy, so this page does the harder part: what each one looks at, what it catches, and what it hands back as evidence. A check you cannot inspect is a claim, not a check.

A check earns the name when you can say what it would have to see to fail, and when the answer comes back as a passage rather than a score. That is the standard the six are held to, and it is why this page exists in the detail it does. What is deliberately not here is how any of it is implemented: no thresholds, no weightings, no signal lists.
