Shopify does not hand out publishing access through a single approval button the way some platforms do. You create a small private app inside your own Shopify organisation, give it two permissions, and pass cpywrk its credentials. Connecting the store

Create a custom app in your Shopify Dev Dashboard

It belongs to your own Shopify organisation and is private to you. Name it something you will recognise in six months, such as cpywrk publishing.
Give it two permissions, and only two

write_content and read_content. Those cover blog articles. cpywrk never asks for orders, customers, payments or products, because publishing an article does not need them.
Install it on your store and copy the credentials

Install the app on the store you want to publish to, then copy its Client ID and Client Secret.
Paste them into cpywrk

Settings, then Integrations, then Shopify. Enter the store domain, which is either your myshopify.com address or the custom domain you use, plus the Client ID and Client Secret.
Choose which blog articles go into

cpywrk exchanges the credentials for a token, reads the blogs that exist on the store, and asks which one to use. A store often has more than one, and the default is rarely the one you meant.

If a credential is wrong, you find out now

cpywrk does not just store what you paste. It performs a real token exchange with Shopify and then queries the store, so a wrong secret or a missing permission surfaces while you are still on the setup screen rather than as a failed publish weeks later.

Images are uploaded to your store

As JPEG, which the Shopify CDN then serves as WebP or AVIF to browsers that accept them, so you get modern formats without cpywrk guessing at them. The asset is yours and serves from your domain. Republish with a regenerated image and the old file is removed rather than left behind.

The access token is short-lived

cpywrk holds your Client Secret encrypted and exchanges it for a token that expires within a day, rather than keeping a long-lived key sitting around. The secret is never sent to your browser.

Not on Shopify?

WordPress connects too, on both WordPress.com and self-hosted sites, and anything else receives the finished article through a webhook that hands over the article and its images to whatever you do run.
